The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions is a unique annual event founded in 2009 which combines exhibitions, screenings, live performances, and talk sessions. Over the years, the festival has aspired to be a forum for exploring the question of how to nurture and sustain the development of visual expression and media with a wide range of stakeholders, while revitalizing creative activities in the visual arts.

THIS YEAR’S THEME "30 Ways to Go to the Moon"

This Year’s Theme 30 Ways to Go to the Moon Aiming to re-examine the increasingly diversified manners of creating and appreciating images, the festival’s 2024 edition – the 16th in total – will see the launch of several new programs connected to this year’s theme. Together with the “Commission Project,” which was added to the festival last year, these programs will further reinforce the role of the festival as an ongoing platform that deeply questions the current state of moving images.

*The Commission Project (3rd floor exhibition room) is open until Sunday, 3/24

Organized by The Tokyo Metropolitan Government / Tokyo Photographic Art Museum operated by Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture / Nikkei Inc.

*The schedule is subject to change. Any further changes will be announced.
