REDOUBT – a film by Matthew Barney – invokes the myth of Diana and Actaeon in the winter landscape of Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho. Consisting of six parts, this 134-minute film depicts the relationship between humans and the natural world. In the film, the characters’ movements are formalized into choreographies that echo, foreshadow, and interpret their encounters with wildlife.
