The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions delivers fifteen days of film screenings, live events, lectures, and talk sessions. It is presented at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum and other local venues to energize creative activities in the field of imaging. The theme of the twelfth edition of the festival is “What is time?”—a question that explores an intrinsic property shared by imaging. From exhibitions and screenings to YEBIZO MEETS, a program for participants to encounter, enjoy, and ponder visual expression, this festival is rich in opportunities to encounter new visions and discoveries. The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2020 is a program being carried out as part of the Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL, a cultural festival being developed in the run-up to 2020 by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the host city for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
