In June 2011, the 13th Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), an Academy Award® accredited film festival, screened approximately 100 out of over 4,200 short films which were submitted from around the world. For the Focus on Asia’s superb program, the top Asian shorts which were screened at our festival in June will be shown along with a short by director Park Chan-wook of “Old Boy.” In addition, you won’t want to miss “3.11 A Sense of Home Films,” made by 21 artists from around the world in answer to an appeal by director Naomi Kawase of "The Mourning Forest," the winner of the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival 2007. The 21 films are 3’11” in length as a memorial of the disaster that struck Eastern Japan. Moreover, this year's workshop will be held by director, Yuki Iwata of “Looking for a True Fiancée“
