Program and Schedule

The year 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Poland. On this occasion, we are happy to present a rich program embracing works connecting the two countries, the latest Polish films, the memorial screening of the works of Kazimierz Kutz and Ryszard Bugajski, the world of Andrzej Wajda, the works commemorating the 30th anniversary of democratization, and two works related to a Polish famous composer Krzysztof Komeda. We will also welcome many guests from Poland, including the music duo SzaZa, whose live performance you can enjoy during the screening of some of the films.
The director of the festival, Jerzy Skolimowski, will talk on Komeda, Komeda, a film about his beloved composer, as well as on his own work Barrier. Juliusz, in which he performs as an actor, will be also put on the screen. Post-screening talks are planned also for other works and let you enjoy Polish cinema even more. We look forward to seeing you at the festival!
