Tokyo Seen By Magnum Photographers, our new Magnum exhibition, celebrates the 60th anniversary of the founding of Magnum Photos by Robert Capa,Henri Cartier-Bresson,David "Chim" Seymour, and George Rodger back on April 17, 1947. Bringing together some 150 black-and-white and color photographs and video works on the subject of Tokyo by Magnum photographers, the exhibition gives us their insightful views of this metropolis from the 1950s up through 2006. This collection of work by a group of eminent photojournalists who have been on the front lines in observing our world presents photographic style in all its diversity, suggests new possibilities, and also highlights the ways values have changed over the decades.
