Focus on Asia
Focus on Asia For the 12th Annual Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2010, an Academy Awards® accredited film festival, roughly 100 short films were carefully selected out of over 4,000 submissions from around the world. For the “Focus on Asia” program, which is created in association with the Tokyo International Film Festival held in October, in addition to the award winning short films of the SSFF & ASIA, which is held in June; focus was placed on animated shorts that are supported by the film industries of various Asian countries. You can see and feel the unique Asian cultures and enjoy the feeling of being on a quick vacation!

And you’ll not want to miss “GOAT-WALKING” (A Japan Travel Agency special selection) which was directed by a 13-year-old boy from Okinawa that was part of our very 1st “Let’s Travel! Project.”
In addition, as a special presentation, we will screen the world premiere of director Carlos Cuaron’s (Rudo y Cursi starring Gael Garcia Bernal) short film titled “The Second Bakery Attack” which is based on a story by Haruki Murakami. The film stars Kirsten Dunst of the hit Spiderman series.
Don’t miss this wonderful Japan-Mexico-America collaboration
