Post LO

A performative mail-art peice created for the solo exhibition "LO" (WAITINGROOM, Tokyo), which uses the postal network. Three different colored envelopes were sent from New York to Tokyo's exhibition space at irregular intervals during the exhibition. By pasting the delivered envelopes in the designated order, the exhibition title "LO," expressed in dots, was completed. Taking a positive view of the episode of the first experiment with the Internet, where the system crashed when the letters LO were sent after trying to send the word LOGIN, the two letters LO taken from that episode were completed at the exhibition site while accepting postal delays, misdeliveries, and non-deliveries. Although there were attempts to induce errors by writing incomplete destinations and addressing and planting pranks, all the envelopes were delivered, and the dots were completed without any missing pieces.
