HighBall

This software piece uses a network of peer-to-peer (P2P) services such as Napstar and Gnutella, which at the time were becoming a social problem due to the rampant illegal music exchange and copyright problems. It connects to the Gnutella network and searches for the keywords entered by the user, cuts up the mp3 files that are found as a result, and plays back multiple files simultaneously. It is a musical version of FragMental Storm, and can also be considered a physical TRACK:0 CD replaced with a P2P network. We closed this piece because Gnutella's version 1 became nearly dysfunctional due to SPAM files.
