In 2016, HEAVY BODY PAINT's transportation to be exhibited at the NTT ICC Open Space turned out to be too late for the opening, so three pieces of bread were hastily displayed where the work was to be exhibited. Their surfaces were covered with marmalade, peanut butter, and blueberry jam, and the colors of each were matched with the HEAVY BODY PAINT that would later be exhibited in the same position. A long excuse for being late was printed on A4 paper and displayed along with the bread. It was inspired by the classic tardiness scene depicted in anime and manga, where the main character runs to school with a loaf of bread in its mouth. It was later recreated when another piece failed to arrive in time at the art book fair, Transbooks.
