Program
Schedule

It is our pleasure to hold the 7th Polish Film Festival in Tokyo. This year’s program commemorates the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty and presents masterpieces from various ages. It further makes a feature of Walerian Borowczyk, one of the Polish directors endowed with peerless sensitivity, the works of Polish female directors rising in fame in the world in recent years, and ‘Polish Cinema Now!’ introducing some of the latest works from Poland.

This year also notes the 80th anniversary of the director of the Festival, Jerzy Skolimowski, as well as the 85th anniversary of his old friend Roman Polański. The screenings of their great films will be accompanied by Skolimowski’s commentaries.
During the two weeks, you would fully enjoy the world of Polish films that evolved through the country’s history and continues to pursue its way. We are looking forward to having you join us.
